IN THIS ISSUE

"It is not so much about what happens in life, it is what you do with what happens that makes the difference!"

POSITIVE FOCUS?

Here I am driving along in my car on a beautiful autumn day. The sun is shining, the sky a crisp blue, the leaves have just begun to turn. I glance at my gauges and notice the low fuel warning light is on. I >>>>

1. Notice the light is on and decide to imagine the tank full with all the fuel a girl could possibly need. I begin to whistle a happy tune.

2. Panic. Begin having racing thoughts. I imagine not only running out of gas before I get to the next exit, but I’ll be on the side of the road stranded, when a really, really not nice person comes along and harms me.

3. I take note of the information I am receiving. I figure out how many more miles of gas I have in the tank (thanks again to my trusty gauges) and calculate where’s the next station. I change course and head for the gas station, taking action on my own behalf in response to the information reality is giving me.

Now let's have some fun. Match one of the above three items with the definitions below:

___ negative thinking ___ positive focus ___ positive thinking

The correct responses are ..... Drum ROLLLLL.....

2-negative thinking 3-positive focus 1-positive thinking

How'd ya' do?

Which of the three choices to the gas light in your opinion is the most powerful and effective? To me that would be maintaining a positive focus.

There is a lot in the news these days. The economic situation coupled with the upcoming presidential election has folks stuck in negative thinking sourced from fear. We all have the same choice. What are we going to do with the information? Our current reality has shifted. The gas gauge is lit up. Now what?

Each one of us will have our own right answer as the situation impacts us differently. But changing the station on the radio and singing a happy tune won't serve or support, nor will falling into catastrophe thinking.

Finding a way to have a positive focus supported by concrete action is the way to go. If you want support in finding your own focus, join Russ Schoen and me on November 3rd in our teleClass,

"What! So What. What Next?"

Our intention for the evening is to support you in assessing today's current reality, dealing with what is, the losses, anger, fear, and refocusing on where do you go from here.

We plan on helping you create an awareness that who you are is your greatest resource, and also empower you with a plan so you can take action now.

. . . If you'd like to:

- look at what is now current in your life

- face your fears and the turbulent times in grounded ways

- connect to your inner resources and resourcefulness

- discover opportunities that are available to you right NOW

- leave the call with an action plan

- and MUCH more . . .

. . . then click here

That and apples.
